I have a deep respect for the wisdom and self-healing capacity we all possess. Only you know what it’s like to walk a mile in your shoes and only you will know what it takes to make the necessary changes. My role as your coach is to help strengthen your sense of identity and self-worth, so your life can reflect who you truly are. I will support you in getting clarity on the issues that stand in the way of you achieving your personal goals… cheering you on when the going gets tough and celebrating your milestones till you arrive at your personal destination.
I am credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). ICF offers the only globally recognized, independent credentialing program for coach practitioners. ICF Credential-holders are part of an international group of elite coaches who’ve completed rigorous coaching education and practice requirements that prove their commitment to excellence in coaching. I did my training as a coach in New York with Leadership That Works (Coaching For Transformation); one of the leading ICF-accredited training programs in the U.S. I hold a degree in Journalism and Communication and have spend a big chunk of my career as a consultant in the Communication field. It was during those years that I realized that while it is imperative that all sorts of communication-structures in companies are in place… they won’t hold if the people using them don’t feel heard because they can’t hear themselves.
Being born and raised on Curaçao in the Caribbean, I find the calm island-lifestyle and pace beneficial for one’s well-being. I will incorporate this ‘quality of life’ in our coaching. My experience as a native of Curaçao (a multicultural ex-Dutch colony), my mixed-race heritage and having lived and studied in The Netherlands, the US and Africa contributes to my deep understanding of how culture, race, class and other personal circumstances impact our daily lives. I believe it is only with true understanding and love for who we really are, that we are able to overcome adversity and create satisfying lives for ourselves.

A New Era
